At Convident we love providing support to social projects. The Convident foundation is a great example of this. One of our social projects is to support the children’s fund “The Ronald McDonald House Groningen”. We support Het Huis by donating part of our profit, providing the online services, and getting our network to donate as much as possible! We have been working with De Business Breakfast Club Groningen for five years, a growing network club where entrepreneurs meet monthly. They organize a breakfast about 10 times a year where the sponsors get the chance to network with each other. These breakfast editions are always organized on location by one of the members. The purpose of the meetings is and will continue to be to support the Ronald McDonald House in Groningen.
The Ronald McDonald House in Groningen is a children’s fund. They offer a place to sleep for parents, brothers and sisters of sick children who are admitted to the Beatrix Children’s Hospital of the UMCG. This makes it possible for children to have their family close by during this difficult period. They come to rest and find support from other parents and the volunteers. There are several rooms in the Ronald McDonald House in which the parents / family can stay. That way they are close to their sick child.
The House must count on the support of donors, volunteers and sponsors such as Convident. To find these, they organize a breakfast meeting 10 times a year. This is mainly realized by members of the Business Breakfast Club, a network club where members organize breakfast within their own company or organization. During such a breakfast, the sponsors get the chance to network, but the most important thing is, of course, supporting the Ronald McDonald House. Do you also want to contribute to this great cause? Convident has been a sponsor of the Ronald McDonald House for 5 years now. For Convident, being a sponsor means donating a portion of our profits, encouraging others to make donations and also assisting the good cause digitally. We did this digitally by providing the Business Breakfast Club with a website. In addition, we also take care of the further developments, web hosting and support of this personalized website, which you can find here.
On October 6, 2021, Convident visited them to emphasize our support for the children’s fund. We did this on the basis of a donation of 3375 euros in the form of 5 years of free web hosting and maintenance of their website. Furthermore, we would like to reiterate that the Ronald McDonald House from Groningen can use all donations!
Manager of the house Jolanda Kamphuis: “This is fantastic and extremely valuable. As manager of the Ronald McDonald House Groningen, I come into contact with parents of seriously ill children on a daily basis. In addition to our volunteers, we are highly dependent on the business community, whose help is more than welcome. In addition to its contribution to the online activities, Convident has also been a loyal member of the Business Breakfast Club for years. I look forward to the future of our collaboration and greatly appreciate this contribution.”
