SEO is an abbreviation for Search Engine Optimization. With search engine optimization you ensure that your website is shown higher in searches in, for example, Google. The moment you rank higher in Google, the chance is greater that a user will click on your website.

Technique refers to the optimization that takes place behind the scenes, such as the structure of the website and the loading speed of pages. It is important that the website is user-friendly for visitors and understandable for Google.

The content is about the information you display. Text is the biggest factor here, because search engines are the best at reading and understanding texts. In addition to texts, images and videos also fall under content.

Authority has to do with the reliability of your website. A commonly used method is link building, where your website is referred by means of hyperlinks on other websites.

It is important to work on all three pillars of search engine optimization in order to ensure a higher ranking in search engines.
