Support brain research
More than 150 researchers at the Netherlands Brain Institute are conducting groundbreaking brain research to better understand how the brain works. Little money is available from the government for brain research. Researchers are spending more and more time applying for grants- a time that cannot be spent on research. The Friends of the Brain Institute Foundation raises additional resources for the Brain Institute. And team Convident also contributes to this. This is how we put Brainfriend online better and more visible on the map and our team supports the foundation where necessary!

Research into hereditary predisposition
Thanks to the support of the Friends of the Brain Institute Foundation, the Brain Institute can conduct research into the role of hereditary predisposition in the course of brain disorders, how we can slow down Parkinson’s disease, why some people are more resistant to the Alzheimer’s disease and why some people get the disease early. We are also working on the development of a visual prosthesis for the blind.
