Local sustainable initiatives
Convident has voluntarily developed the website for the Welmobiel Foundation. WelMobiel (also known locally as LoodsMobiel and VinkMobiel) provides transport within the local area. Where buses no longer run in the neighbourhood, we pick people up from their home and take them to the doctor, the shopping centre, or to a friend’s home, for example. This ensures that the older or less mobile residents, among others, can still go out and are able to see other people. The experiences and success stories that we have already seen with this are heart-warming and motivate us to continue to roll out our project in more neighbourhoods in Groningen. In short, a wonderful initiative which the entire Convident team is happy to support!

Targets
Welmobiel’s goal is to offer a sustainable mobility solution for people who are not wheelchair bound, but who experience a mobility problem due to physical, financial or other limitations. In this way residents can be more present and involved in the neighborhood/society. A goal that fits perfectly with the core values of Convident, which is why we, as a team, support the Welmobiel Foundation with pride. Key points in the objectives of the Welmobiel Foundation are:
- Transport must remain affordable
- We must be easily accessible to everyone
- The transport must have minimal impact on the environment
- We offer our service to the front door
